Guess What I'm doing today?

So the hubby says to me the other day, "Why don't you move your scrap stuff into our bedroom? There is that corner that has nothing in it. I think you'd be happier in there, don't you?" (Okay, that's not a direct quote but it was similar to that in some way.) Anyway, Right now, my scrap room is in the basement of our house and now that it's spring and we are learning that our basement leaks a little, he thought it would be better to move upstairs, and he's right about the space. There's a corner of our room, surrounded by windows that is completely barren, nothing there. (And might I add, it's much warmer than our dingy basement!)

Isn't this a great space??? I mean, it's much more inspiring to be in this beautiful, bright space than in the dingy dark basement. This is what my space originally looked like when we first moved here.

Since then, I've moved it again and I'm almost embarrassed to show you what it looks like now because it's truly and uninspiring mess!!! I'll give you just a peek. :( Don't judge me!! LOL

This is the entrance to the basement (and sadly, yes, that is our cat's box. LOL *covers face with embarrassment*)

Before my kids got ahold of my supplies (and there are 4 of them) this was actually a very clean, marginally inspiring place to be. But I've never liked how dark it is and I really do want to move it upstairs. Then, we can turn the basement into a play space for my kiddos who absolutely LOVE to play army men down there. It's much bigger for that kind of thing than their bedroom.

So, as soon as I hit the "publish post" button on this new post, I'm going to draft my oldest daughter to help me move my craft room to the new location. Maybe then, I'll have the courage to try to make a video tutorial or something. Who knows. Wish me luck.

Thank you all for listening to me, and stay tuned for new pics of my wonderful new scrap space!

Do any of you have scrap spaces you'd like to share? I'd love to see them! Inspire me!!!! I may have some blog candy for it!

Use Mr. Linky below to leave the URL to your craft space!!! I appreciate it. I'd love to see all of your inspirational spaces!!

As soon as I find some appropriate blog candy, I'll update this post with it!!! :) Thanks for sharing!

Much love and creativity,

How fabulous that your loving hubby wants you to be warmer and more comfortable while you scrap. The new area is great with the windows....looking forward the after pictures; good luck with all the work.

Congratulations! When I bought my first Cricut (last August) my husband suggested that I take one of the spare bedrooms upstairs for my craft room. Within 2 hours I had it all set up (lol). I'm no dummy, you don't have to tell me twice! Anyway, it makes all the difference. It really is my "happy place" and I love it.

I am sure you will love being upstairs! I started out in a basement many years ago and am so lucky to have my own craft room now! I'll link up my post I did not long ago!

Krystal, that will be great that you're moving from the basement. Sure you'll love your new room upstairs-looks like a great space. In February I refurbished my craft room and I've shared that post with you through Mr. Linky. Maybe it will give you some ideas. Let me know what you think. -- Pat N. http://patsscraps.blogspot.com/
