I have always loved felt because it sticks together easily and doesn't require glue or anything....it's a relatively clean activity! That's my favorite kind of activity since I'm not a huge fan of messy projects. (No really, I'm seriously bad with painting and glue/glitter projects, my instincts are to say "no way" when my children ask me if they can use glue or paint! Oh, and don't get me started on moon sand or the like...GAH, I HATE that stuff!)

Moving on.....

My daughter is one of the middle children, being in between 2 boys who absolutely hate anything "girly"! Anyway, this was fun for her and I. Initially I wanted to find paper dolls online and cut it with my Cricut but I found out quickly that my Cricut doesn't like to cut felt without special preparation or at least higher quality wool felt. The stuff that I have is NOT of the highest quality so we resorted to the old way of doing things....ya know, with scissors. *GASP* Who does THAT anymore?

Believe it or not, it was so much fun. However, I do want to try cutting felt with my Cricut at some point because I found some of the most adorable paperdolls SVG files online and I would love to see how they turn out with felt!

Nonetheless, here are some of the things that Catie and I made with felt.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 296px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P6mEW-PbK_Q/Tg477Se8FDI/AAAAAAAAAU8/27_XzFUiVEU/s320/100_4929.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624498874392253490" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-umyYbyvYrQc/Tg476z0Sp7I/AAAAAAAAAU0/RRTc1KroVDU/s320/100_4927.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624498866160314290" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xQMljS5ruTE/Tg476drReVI/AAAAAAAAAUs/TYcmJjuWvtE/s320/100_4924.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624498860216908114" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yFbxSs9M-Zo/Tg476GJo6eI/AAAAAAAAAUk/OTBND-Xg_-M/s320/100_4923.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624498853901822434" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5O62ogeXr34/Tg475Xh5udI/AAAAAAAAAUc/35ArO_guz9w/s320/100_4922.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624498841387121106" />

Catie is my most "Creative" child. Her older sister, Alissa of Sketch This likes to draw/sketch and do pencil art but Catelynn is the one who loves to scrapbook and do anything crafty! She has her own craft box with all of her own craft items. It excites me that she loves to do paper crafting and scrapbooking as much as (if not more than) I do.

I just wanted to share our Friday afternoon with you all. I hope you all have a crafty weekend.

I'm not sure I told you all this yet but I started a part-time job at our local craft store. It's called Soulutions. This is a great little store. They are basically 9 stores in 1 but my favorite part of the store is the scrapbooking/crafting section (They even sell Cricut/Provocraft items. They also have a section for making jewelry, which has always interested me too but my absolute favorite part of this store is Over Coffee, which is the Northern Minnesota equivalent to Starbucks Coffee. Truth be told, I almost think that some of the drinks are better. *GASP* There, I said it!!!!

Anyway, I will be working my night job (medical transcription) Sunday through Thursday 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and then working at Soulutions on Sundays 10:50 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. I will also be a sub in the mornings on the days needed.

I'm pretty excited to work back at Soulutions, it gives me a chance to get out of the house and I get to work in the Coffee Shop, which I love. Beings that I'm such a people person, it is so much fun to be able to interact with people that are over 4 feet tall and don't talk like babies! :)

In just a little bit, I'm also going get started on the electronic rotation chart I mentioned in my Needing Ideas post. I'll show you what I come up with later.

Much love and creativity,
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8973590147220253178.post-8483814848041701762011-06-30T12:39:00.002-05:002011-06-30T12:48:06.455-05:00Needing IdeasIf any of your kids are like mine, then electronics are a big part of your lives too. Anything from mp3 players all the way to video game consoles and cell phones. My children are ages 6, 7, 10, and 15 and all of them have some part of their lives that revolve around electronics. My 6-year-old loves the XBox 360, the PSP, the PS3, and the computer. My 7-year-old loves her MP3 player (can you say Bieber Fever in my house?) and the PS3 and the computer. My 10-year-old loves anything at all electronic. He's more into building games than playing them but he loves all the electronic devices in the house, all of them. And my 15-year-old is into her computer and her cell phone.

There really is a point to my ramblings up there. My husband suggested today that, in an attempt to avoid the arguments that come along with all of these electronic devices and the younger 3 children, that I create a board that has the games on it in columns and and then their names and somehow attach them to the board under the device they are playing for a period of time (say, 45 minutes or so?).

So, here's my question....how should I do this? I am looking for ideas. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Leave me a comment and let me know your ideas!!!!!

Can't wait to hear what you all come up with!! :)

Much love and creativity,
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8973590147220253178.post-69215989392171956302011-06-18T22:02:00.008-05:002011-06-18T22:48:03.065-05:00Father's DayHi Bloggie friends!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far. It's been super busy for me. My oldest daughter left a 2 weeks ago to visit some family in Phoenix and is not going to be back until July. I miss her so much. She is going to miss Independence day and Father's day as well. I'm sure she's having a blast though. I just miss her tons.

My husband has been in lots of ongoing pain with his back, which he has been dealing with for the last 10+ years so we have been dealing with that, hence the reason (or excuse) that I have not been blogging much lately!

On Monday, 06/20/2011 my youngest son, Dylon is going to be starting swimming lessons. I can't believe how fast these cute little ones grow up! Two weeks after that, my daughter, Catelynn will go into swimming lessons too. It gives me great comfort to think they will all know how to swim though. I've never been a huge swimming fan so going to the pool will be much easier knowing they know the basics of water safety and swimming.

I recently got an email from www.cricutmachine.com stating they were having a sale on over 70+ Cricut cartridges. They had 4 of them under $15.00 each!! Whoo Hoo! So I bought 2 of them. I bought Mini Monsters and Cindy Loo. Oh my gosh, they are great cartridges. Lots and lots of images to cut out. And the Cindy Loo cartridge has a font on there too! BONUS!

Here are pictures of the carts I bought for $14.95 each:

Mini Monsters

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 174px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SW5I3JcgYjc/Tf1tbjQKtRI/AAAAAAAAATU/Eg7nUQf72Mk/s320/mini-monsters-binder.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619768230115194130" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 314px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9sJYsbL_tf0/Tf1tbQqPD_I/AAAAAAAAATM/BJ5dZhUMUEQ/s320/b4db7dea22b52cc91323803bcca01079.image.393x400.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619768225124257778" />

Cindy Loo

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 174px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5Kv3xP7PRgo/Tf1tbAstfNI/AAAAAAAAATE/Afy1NRxXq8g/s320/cindy-loo-cartridge1-558x1024.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619768220839673042" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yX7hFy-G43k/Tf1ta9End_I/AAAAAAAAAS8/MS2wiiXAL0k/s320/2000333-CindyLoo_back.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619768219866200050" />

Well, tomorrow is Father's day and so I couldn't resist doing a card that I know most men love. I went looking for the template of the bikini swimsuit. I finally found one and downloaded it. I absolutely adore how cute this card turned out. I love it! I altered the layers by cutting the straps off the top of the suit and adding my own ribbon.

I added my own lace to the top of the bathing suit as well as to the bottoms. (Nice touch, huh?) The butterfly stamp was a small stamp that I had and I colored it with my markers.

Of course, my children wanted to get in on the action so I went ahead and helped them out too and took advantage of having the Mini Monsters carts (because ya know, with boys, everything no matter the holiday, has to be scary in some way!)

Here is my oldest son's card: Brandon, age 10.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 208px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zC5fTLLVasE/Tf1uz0jmJ9I/AAAAAAAAATk/kNtJa50d98Y/s320/100_4913.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619769746588575698" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aDOI2f9_360/Tf1uzSTPFDI/AAAAAAAAATc/Sz691bfYYGc/s320/100_4914.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619769737393148978" />

Catelynn's (age 7) Father's Day Card, she wanted a "monster"

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 288px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ou8sgY1rLgw/Tf1vVU2eVUI/AAAAAAAAAT0/0A2iNPcU6iY/s320/100_4911.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619770322193372482" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x6HZkixlJ2Y/Tf1vUxJkv9I/AAAAAAAAATs/mUVlxtE_lzU/s320/100_4912.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619770312609808338" />

The last card is Dylon's (age 5) Father's day card.
I have been working on a project that I had donated a while back to the Auction for the American SIDS Institute. As most of my readers know, I've been following the blog of a mom who lost her baby to SIDS in February of this year. She was only 4 months old. They held an auction in her memory and accepted donations. So, here is what I made for little Sydney who will be a year old in September!
Andrew of Getting Cricky then you are truly missing out! Like most of my bloggie friends, I have never actually "met" her, she's a "virtual" friend. You know, the kind that live in your computer? *hugging my computer because I love all my friends that live in here* Anyway, K. Andrew is one of the most inspiring crafters I've ever had the pleasure of coming in contact with. Her life is not perfect but it's perfect for her. She says she isn't a saint, although to the people that she inspires and helps everyday, I'm sure they totally disagree and believe she is, in fact, a saint! Her blog posts are truly amazing reads. She is very honest and very real and very sincere!

When I first started blogging back in January, K. Andrew was getting ready to move across the country so she hosted a Cricky Across the 50 Blog Hop. (Click the link to check out my submission). I found out about this blog hop and that's how I met K. Andrew. She was so sweet about letting me join the hop. I had no idea what I was doing but she was so helpful.

Anyway, this blog post wasn't supposed to be about how much I love to know K. Andrew, but I needed to take a moment to spotlight her and just let her know that she's a huge reason I keep crafting and I keep blogging. I really do just love her to pieces!

All that being said, she's having some amazing giveaways! This post in particular is about her giving away 6 different stamps from My Pink Stamper (who also just happens to be an enormous inspiration to me). Here are the details of this giveaway (taken directly from K's blog post).

"Little Pick Me Up Treats for today. I want to give away SIX different My Pink Stamper stamp sets today!
I'll pick 6 winners--all you have to do is leave me a comment and then GO share the word. Someone out there today needs to hear this message--help me share it today! Let's spread the word and love! Feel free to GRAB my blog candy pic above or blinkie and link at your blog/facebook if you so desire.
Have a GREAT weekend my friends; see you back here this weekend for a blog hop, and more fun stuff!"

You all need to go follow her wonderful greatness and check out the many other things she has going on over there including the release of her new stamp sets. You can find out about those by clicking this THIS LINK HERE.

Well, I hope you all have a fantastic day! Remember to share the love. I'm going to take my 7-year-old daughter into my craft room and cook up something crafty! I've totally been inspired. I will be back on later with our creations and bring you some pictures of what we created.

Thanks again to all my bloggie friends for your inspiration and creativity!

Much love and creativity,
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8973590147220253178.post-81796828953896766872011-05-23T23:43:00.005-05:002011-05-23T23:59:32.701-05:00Retro Father's Day CardGood evening, everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous Monday. I had a pretty decent day!

This project is being submitted in the Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky with K. Andrew. This is my first attempt at trying to make a tri-fold card and I must say, I'm pretty darn happy with how it turned out!!

My father and I have never really had a great relationship but lately, in the past year or so, I've truly started noticing some changes in him. He seems to be a little more grown up. He seems to care a little more about his life and someone other than himself. This is such a huge deal for me because he was just never one of those fathers that was "there" for his children. So, I decided to make this card for him for Father's Day.

The theme for the Sunday Challenge was "Retro" and it could be interpreted any way we wanted so I went with these colors.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 280px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yeIUnM0bXHo/Tds5cFsg8sI/AAAAAAAAARQ/e_20SIfC0dw/s320/101_4513.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5610140915548091074" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-g2GuUJRSU8Y/Tds5b8b6MUI/AAAAAAAAARI/hvnQYTzDrCA/s320/101_4512.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5610140913062523202" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 251px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-voAAGz0gwV0/Tds5bJz8YTI/AAAAAAAAARA/EG6Q0K3KJRg/s320/101_4511.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5610140899473121586" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 135px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JD-m6FAem3Y/Tds5clfHUOI/AAAAAAAAARY/hVVg5v8FbOg/s320/101_4514.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5610140924081819874" />

Ingredients:
Cardstock (5-1/2 x 12 inches)
4 different patterned/printed paper
ATG Tape runner
Straight cutter
Scorer tool

I took my cardstock and scored it 4 times width-wise at 2, 4, 8 and 10 inches apart. Then I turned the cardstock so it was vertical and at 2-1/2 inches, I cut from one score line to the other one. I did this on both sides.

I folded the paper on the score lines and and then for the center one, I folded it in opposite directions. I cut my different papers to length and put them on wherever I wanted on the card.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. I will be sending out the card to my dad in the next week!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!!!

Much love and creativity,
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8973590147220253178.post-53870763467652843222011-05-22T00:20:00.008-05:002011-05-23T07:58:19.657-05:00Get Inspired - Link It Up!Hi all my bloggy friends and followers!!
I decided to do a blog make over! I'm a huge purple fan but I noticed that I was doing everything in purple and pink so I decided to step outside my comfort zone and do something completely different!
As the title of my post reads, I've been inspired! By whom you might ask? Well, all of you. The last few days I've been lurking around to some of the amazing blogs thanks to K. Andrew of Getting Cricky and her wonderful Link Up Love Party. You all have some mad talent, I just want you to know! And K. is one of my favorite blogs to visit because she always has something going on! I absolutely love how positive she is all the time.
A while back, there was a blog that posted a link up for blogs to gain new followers and so much more inspiration. I'm not sure if any of you have ever visited her blog, but her name is Momo of Made By Momo and not only is she super talented, but I gained TONS of followers from her follower link party. I thought it would be fun to take her idea and do the same thing.
That being said, here it is. There are no rules to this link party. All you have to do is simply post a link to your blog and visit the other blogs on the link list. If you want to, you can make a reference to this in one of your blog posts to spread the word. Follow whatever blogs inspire you. It's super fun and a great way to gain followers!!!
I hope you all gain tons of new followers from this!! Spread the word to all your friends, post about it, Facebook it, Tweet it, yell it from the roof tops!!!
Hope you all gain lots of new friends this way.

UPDATE I have created a blinkie to use on your site if you'd like! Be sure that whatever blog you visit, you follow if they are inspiring to you. You can also post a comment here if you like, I love comments and I'd certainly LOVE for you to follow me! :)

Here's the blinkie, right click and save to your computer!

Have a wonderful night all my friends.

Much love and creativity,
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8973590147220253178.post-17133956518215092952011-05-20T21:04:00.009-05:002011-05-20T22:08:59.562-05:00Link Up Love Party with K. You are an inspiration and a genuinely WONDERFUL person!!!!

So, these link up parties are a way for you as a crafter to get inspired and meet some other crafters along the way. There are so many creative people in this world and most have the same goal in mind...to inspire you! So you can most likely find their work on a personal blog. Wow, it's been such a long time since I've posted. So much has happened. I went back to Phoenix to help my mother out who was in a car accident on April 23rd. I was there for about a week helping take care of her. Thankfully, she's is recovering well. She has had all of her staples removed. The accident was pretty bad, she was in a roll over and was thrown through the windshield. She had staples in her head as well as staples in the back of her neck for a dislocation of her C6-C7 vertebrae, a fractured C7 vertebrae and a fractured sternum. She had two separate surgeries including a cervical fusion (rods, cages and hardware in her neck) and then another surgery to repair the fracture. She is so fortunate that she is not a quadriplegic. Her neurosurgeon told me that she was a miracle. So, I'm thankful that she is still here with us.

Last week, my youngest daughter, Catelynn, was the announcer for her first grade spring concert. It was so wonderful to see my beautiful baby girl up in front of the huge audience. She did such a great job, I'm one proud mama!!! There will be pictures to come very soon!

I started a new job the week before my mom's accident so I've been busy trying to learn the job and that has taken up a ton of time (I think I'm going through crafting withdrawal!!! LOL)

As a lot of you know, I have been working on a project for my friend Jessica of You're Always In My Heart. She is the mother of 5 beautiful children with her last two being twins who are almost a year old. I've been working on a banner for their first birthday. Her son, Grayson was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor called a glioma. It is located on his brain stem and it is causing all kinds of problems for this precious little boy. He had his last MRI on Wednesday and they found out that it continues to grow, which means that the treatment is most likely going to be chemotherapy that could start as early as next week. There's been a lot going on. I finally got a job, which takes away from my playtime on the Cricut. BOO HOO. But more importantly, I received a call over the weekend that my mother has been in a horrible roll-over car accident causing a fracture to her neck. She's already had to endure 2 different surgeries, one for the dislocation to be corrected and one for the actual fracture to be removed. She is doing well and they are considering taking her out of ICU sometime this week. I will be leaving on Wednesday afternoon (April 27) to go be with her and help her through her recovery process. Thank goodness she is not paralyzed. I don't think she'd handle that very well.

Anyway, I will blog some while I'm home, I'm not sure how much crafting I will get done but I will certainly keep you updated on how things are going. I should return back to my family in Minnesota around May 7th.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this really trying time for our family.

Much love and creativity,
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8973590147220253178.post-25083291692298142022011-04-18T12:58:00.022-05:002011-04-18T16:39:52.624-05:00Relay For Life - Pink Ladies 2nd Annual Craft RetreatOn Saturday, I spent the entire day scrapbooking! It was so much fun. There is a group of women who do an annual scrapbook/craft retreat! I signed up for it about 2 months ago. They charge $45 for it but it's so worth it! It starts on Friday night at 5:00 PM and goes until midnight then on Saturday, it starts again at 9:00 a.m. and goes until 10:00 pm. They serve dinner on Friday, brunch and dinner on Saturday as well as snacks. They also have door prizes and lots of raffles. It really is a great event and benefits a great cause. For me, I personally didn't get a lot of scrapbooking done because I was at a field trip with my daughter's 1st grade class on Friday and we didn't get back into town until almost 9 p.m. I was so exhausted that I didn't have the energy to pack up all my stuff and bring it to the event so I went on Saturday. I got there about 10 a.m. and spent the entire day there until 9 p.m. I met so many wonderful ladies and talked so much, that I didn't get much else done but I did manage to get a few pages done.

This first layout is of a trip that I took with my girlfriends in 2009. We drove to Chicago for a New Kids On The Block concert. Now for me, this was a huge deal. It was only a weekend trip but I drove from Northern Minnesota to Fargo, North Dakota to Minneapolis, Minnesota, through Wisconsin to Chicago, Illinois. Then, after the concert, we followed one of the buses to Indiana (completely by accident! Hahaha). This was so much fun. The pictures are of me giving myself a pedicure in the front seat of my friend Kris's van. LOL Call me crazy but I'd do this all again in a heartbeat. This was one of the best trips I've ever taken with my girlfriends.

Pictures from left to right: Me (Krystal), Vanessa, Kris, Stacey and Janelle!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 294px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oyBOLKzvOuw/Tax-Gwwc-EI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/2euwE1dZ9Wg/s320/101_4436.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596987091547125826" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BWVLPn9FRqI/Tax-GVFn6YI/AAAAAAAAAJw/DzSjtPoOUeg/s320/101_4433.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596987084119730562" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3bvuPKdpcME/Tax-GLV0T6I/AAAAAAAAAJo/83Ifr6vCcnM/s320/101_4431.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596987081503297442" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IiRcCVSK6OE/Tax-FYL0S0I/AAAAAAAAAJg/SHqPWWyP7BI/s320/101_4434.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596987067771145026" />

This next double page layout was from a trip I took to Las Vegas with my best friend in the world. We have known eachother since the 7th grade (That's right around 25 years, wow!) Anyway, I flew home to Arizona and we drove to Vegas. These pictures were taken at the M&M store. It is absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G how big this store is. There are several floors (I think about 5?) and there is every color M&M you can imagine here!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 306px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8hjzskvG4wY/Tax_dHmlUtI/AAAAAAAAAKY/EgbG1McLHbg/s320/101_4438.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596988575148495570" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 277px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6qy_H4npxOU/Tax_c9bXJqI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/YshWfwMQLsQ/s320/101_4443.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596988572417074850" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RV3DJHW03oc/Tax_ccO9VdI/AAAAAAAAAKI/FcSx7FvFkXo/s320/101_4440.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596988563506681298" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0mwgx08IqSM/Tax_cN6RrbI/AAAAAAAAAKA/HIQ5UiPicb4/s320/101_4444.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5596988559661837746" />

This is a layout I did of my oldest daughter. I made them black and white. There is something about the way black and white pictures look. I just love them. In certain pictures, they just make the picture so much better in my opinion. This layout came straight out of my imagination. I love the splash of color too.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 313px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GWWYB-3l81Y/Tacvjeg2REI/AAAAAAAAAGQ/bM6GbnwBDYg/s320/101_4422.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595493348563895362" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EHppPAlArvU/TacvhyS-krI/AAAAAAAAAGI/heZFB0B0FSc/s320/101_4423.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595493319514690226" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-utZ6k4UzdRk/Tacvhh6DCkI/AAAAAAAAAGA/55juxdNA71M/s320/101_4424.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595493315115158082" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5inluzg4uf0/TacvhPJ_ZFI/AAAAAAAAAF4/u1CUa846Aog/s320/101_4425.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595493310081754194" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GKDlXwS00VY/TacvgoyEYPI/AAAAAAAAAFw/uWbgfTP9iNM/s320/101_4426.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595493299780870386" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h67IP2ycaSM/Tacv5ws5jkI/AAAAAAAAAGo/NLRDgNcaM30/s320/101_4429.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595493731403402818" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2bT-9MNkFXw/Tacv5CVbI_I/AAAAAAAAAGg/clEn4Xi_i2Y/s320/101_4428.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595493718956909554" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-boksgrzrGIc/Tacv44qbaEI/AAAAAAAAAGY/klXTn68VDgY/s320/101_4427.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595493716360652866" />

Ingredients:
Cricut Expression
Plantin School Book cart
Swirly stamp with Ink It Up! black ink
ATG gun
K&Company stickers
Brads
Craft Lite Cutter (mini zigzag cutting tool)
Provocraft pointed tool (to make holes for brads)
Xyron sticker maker
Xyron adhesive runner
Lace embellishments
DCWV Cardstock paper.

I also wanted to try out my newly re-adhesived (is that a word?) Cricut mat. I bought some Goo-Gone yesterday and I used it to clean off my mat, then I scrubbed it with soap and water. I taped it off and sprayed repositionable spray adhesive from Krylon on it. It seemed to work okay today; however, what I noticed is that although it makes the mat sticky, it seems to stay sticky on your hands if you touch it. I'm not sure this is the right kind of adhesive I should be using. I'll have to experiment a little more. Anybody have any suggestions as to what kind of spray adhesive I should use?

Much love and creativity,
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8973590147220253178.post-72555951344875080622011-04-14T07:24:00.005-05:002011-04-14T07:50:20.185-05:00Support for Maddie!I have been following a story about a little girl named Madison Paige Staats, Maddie for short. Maddie passed away from SIDS at 4 months old. It is such a tragedy. Her parents, Kellie and James have gotten really involved in SIDS research and the prevention of it. Today is Maddie's 1/2 birthday. She would have been 6 months old so Kellie asked that we all wear a bow in our hair to support her little angel.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vArGOjNxWVc/TabpaFVvhaI/AAAAAAAAAFg/AAFU9DS9Jw0/s320/bows4maddie.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595416221373662626" target="_blank"/>

Catie with her bows in her hair!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aRkWOLB8_dw/TabpZ3EjePI/AAAAAAAAAFY/D71-WHucCwM/s320/100_4405.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595416217543473394" target="_blank" />

To raise awareness about SIDS, Kellie has teamed up with another mom who has lost her baby to SIDS and they are doing an auction fund raiser. All proceeds go to the American SIDS Institute. There are almost 200 items being auctioned off from several different boutiques. One of the boutiques that is donating items is my friend who has a baby with an inoperable brain tumor. You can check out her boutique called Little Blessings Boutique. She makes bows and has some sewing items up for sale. I have donated a customizable banner for this auction.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 161px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_Cbl2bgB58k/Tabr5BNA9PI/AAAAAAAAAFo/ZIwTO9lyjiY/s320/100_4287.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595418951862514930" target="_blank"/>

If you'd like to participate in the auction, please follow this link and check it out. I officially start on Tuesday, which means more income for my family but less "me" time to scrapbook. :( I'm sad about the last part but I'm happy about the first part. So, wish me luck and I'll try to post as often as I can!!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by my blog!!!

Much love and creativity,
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8973590147220253178.post-78590974186386418062011-04-12T13:47:00.006-05:002011-04-12T14:02:09.251-05:00Super Behavior AwardOne of the rules in our house for our children is good behavior at school. We've never had a problem with this and our kids but, like most 5 year old's, my kindergartener has the attention span the size of a gnat!!! It doesn't help that he's the very youngest in his class with his birthday being at the end of August.

As an incentive in the classroom, his teacher gives out Super Behavior awards. During the first half of the year, she would hand them out to the kids that earned them at the end of the day but the second half of the year, she started handing them out at the beginning of the day and then if the child was misbehaving, she'd write the infraction on the back of the award and if the child received more than 2 infractions, then she'd take the award away.

Every day when Dylon gets home from school, the first thing out of his mouth is "Super, no marks or super, one mark or no super because....." Now if he loses his Super Behavior award, then he loses video game/computer privileges for that day and if it's a Thursday (my kids have no school on Fridays) then he loses privileges for the entire weekend so it's a HUGE deal for him to get a Super Behavior award every day.

Because this is such a big deal in our house, I decided to do a scrapbook page about it. The pictures are from Dylon's first day of school. Isn't he such a handsome boy??

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PVWe5ppBVEs/TaSgQhAadYI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/DcEtc1QeuX0/s320/101_4417.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594772842699453826" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 253px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2Y7O_ZdbtWk/TaSgPfyTMII/AAAAAAAAAFI/eYZ1daemimA/s320/101_4418.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594772825191952514" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rRCYUQTOVgI/TaSgO5ssATI/AAAAAAAAAFA/K6X_GeZdnyg/s320/101_4419.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594772814967865650" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8DZkOQ5E6VA/TaSgOtIjJXI/AAAAAAAAAE4/s_XTjF3S_cE/s320/101_4420.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594772811595064690" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_FsZNvmmlYE/TaSgORY5X4I/AAAAAAAAAEw/jEQwk6PY9as/s320/101_4421.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594772804147437442" />

Ingredients:
Cricut Expression
Plantin School Book
Craft Light Cutter
ATG Gun
DCWV paper
Foam lettering.

I used the Plantin School Book cartridge to cut the lettering out at 2 inches. We were at the park and she was standing behind this climbing wall that had very large holes in it. I took the picture and it just came out so cute. It was a bright sunny day outside, perfect for playing at the park. Thank goodness the weather is getting nice enough to go outside without a jacket on!!! Yay!! Bring on the summer.

Another requirement is that you had to use the Cricut for at least one image! Well I just won the "Welcome Spring" Cricut Cartridge from Jenny at Scrap With Jenny. It came in the mail today so I was able to use it for this project!!! Just in time for Spring. I love this cartridge already!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 306px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xLhaAbmwG00/TaPgoabgvMI/AAAAAAAAAEA/Ptt-mImc9Lw/s320/100_4400.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594562147018390722" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 275px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Gv2th1J-Td0/TaPgoxbGKtI/AAAAAAAAAEI/l2gvsVSq5oo/s320/100_4400-1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594562153190664914" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FWfmr5PkRt0/TaPgpIqtgvI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/Sw3VWgvMwH4/s320/100_4401.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594562159430173426" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AcbKbLs8cwg/TaPgpmA9BqI/AAAAAAAAAEY/lSJKejmIAL0/s320/100_4402.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594562167308093090" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QiG0zl5-i8E/TaPgqfKFV-I/AAAAAAAAAEg/-zT1IeeGAAM/s320/100_4403.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594562182647207906" />

Ingredients:
Welcome Spring cartridge
ATG gun
Lace
Pink blingie brads
K&Company specialty paper
DCWV paper.
Xyron 1 inch sticker maker

Recipe:
I cut the title out at 3 inches.
The flower embellishment on the lower left was cut at 3 inches
The embellishment on the lower right was cut at 1.5 inches.

My ATG gun (my absolute most favorite scrapbooking tool) was used to put it all together.

I hope you all like it. I'm not sure why but I've been feeling like I don't really want to be around myself so I can only imagine what my kids are thinking. LOL

I spent most of the day in my craft room today. I did manage to get a few things accomplished.

First, I made this card and will be sending it to my friend, Jessica. Her 10-month-old son has a brain tumor that is growing and because of it's location, it's too dangerous to biopsy so they aren't sure what kind of tumor it is, whether it be cancer or something else. They are having a Card Benefit for him if anyone is interested. Just make a card and send it to the address listed.

I just wanted to share the card I made for her today.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 312px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4VzU6UHNaLk/TaJmD8b-sPI/AAAAAAAAACA/Zo8t7469QYg/s320/100_4301.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594145905096700146" />

Front of card

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 221px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GY4hpumkm38/TaJmEDJe3AI/AAAAAAAAACI/Bt4wfg3FoR8/s320/100_4303.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594145906898164738" />

Stamped sentiment on card

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 181px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QpsyNnJnYz8/TaJmEWTbQWI/AAAAAAAAACQ/_oGt2ItvRT0/s320/100_4304.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594145912040145250" />

Inside of card

Recipe for this card:
Cricut Expression
Stretch your imagination cart - Grass cut at 2.5 inches, chickie cut at 3 inches, trees on inside cut at 3 inches and 2.5 inches.
Plantin schoolbook cart - Card cut at 5.5 inches.
My community cart - Sun cut at 1.5 inches.
Clear stamps.

I also used wiggle eyes and some floral embellishments. I cut the flowers off the top of the grass to put the embellishments in their place.

I also made my kiddos each a bookmark.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 241px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8nO_GydVj24/TaJop4pYLxI/AAAAAAAAACg/Q5HvP3EnT8A/s320/100_4317.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594148755937439506" />
I made this one for my youngest daughter. She told me she wanted a "doggie" one. LOL. We used to have a dog named Cinder. We named her that because she was white with black spots (mixed Dalmation with a Healer). She wanted a dog that looked like Cinder and then a little girl so this is what I came up with. Cinder was 10 years old. She was hit by a car and died last October. :(

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-efvFtAuN3LU/TaJqQEWqJVI/AAAAAAAAACo/8PvsjTYUfps/s320/100_3753.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594150511426807122" />

Picture of Cinder.

These are the ones I made my other 3. My boys wanted to have zombies and war planes. The only zombies I could find, my son didn't want to use so he settled for this cool aircraft carrier and these little cuts of fighter jets and battleships.

I also cut some extras so they could play with them (upon their request).

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dzNC34XZTA0/TaJopm5TguI/AAAAAAAAACY/Wb6HRnIDIKs/s320/100_4313.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594148751172403938" />
My oldest daughter is really into the Twilight Saga so I made her the cute skull and crossbones bookmark. At one point, they managed to get to their feet and were hopping around my house!

My youngest two are in kindergarten and first grade. During Catie's first year of life, she had a lot of respiratory problems and was on steroids and breathing treatments. This caused a lot of damage to her teeth causing her to get a root canal in her two front teeth when she was about 18 months old. When she was 3, she had to have her two front teeth removed because they were just too loose and caused her a lot of problems. She's 7 now. Well, we have noticed that FINALLY, the two front teeth are growing in! It will be so neat seeing her with a mouth full of teeth. We took pictures.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TeRNoOeLj6M/TaJtnJnahWI/AAAAAAAAADQ/1VFxQQOGZZ0/s320/100_4308.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594154206511138146" />

Dylon has lost some teeth too. It was really nice to have my family all in one room with no internet, video games, computers or cell phones and just enjoying spending quality time together! I'm sad that the weekend is over but excited about this week. Well, the end of the week anyway. On Friday, I am chaperoning a field trip with my daughter's 1st grade class. We are going to the circus. Then, I have my first Scrapbooking Weekend with the "Pink Ladies" to benefit Relay for Life. That goes on all evening Friday and all day Saturday.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W2Rn4LJCoAQ/TaJw8aUTI3I/AAAAAAAAADg/eL3yxwFduq8/s320/100_4276_pp.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594157870306501490" />

Mark and Krystal - April 2011

Tomorrow, my husband has to have a stress test. It's more precautionary than anything else, basically to just rule out any cardiac problems as a reason for his chest wall pain.

Well, that's a summary of my weekend and a look into the coming week, in a nutshell! Yep, she's K. Andrews of Getting Cricky and she's having a "LOVE" link up party!!

I'm supposed to tell something about myself...hmmm...I've done medical transcription for 10 years but have recently become unemployed and I love not having to go to work everyday. It's given me lots of extra time to scrapbook but I know I really need to get a job. LOL. I'm loving scrapbooking so much, I'd love to do something related to that and get paid for it, like make/sell my own creations.

Now onto the rules for the link up party. I wanted to share my latest craft project with you all!!! I am so proud of this!!

For this project, I used the Make-The-Cut program.

I cut the base template at about 5 x 7 inches. Then the top layer was cut about about 4-1/4 x 6-1/4.

I needed a ladybug picture so I googled it and I found this cool site that does EVERYTHING ladybug! It's a really neat site. I cut these at about 5 inches.

Aren't they so cute?? I just love how they turned out. I used pop-dots to add dimension to them. I also used wiggly eyes and red ribbon to make the bows for added detail!

I downloaded the font from 1001 Free Fonts. It's called Hole-Hearted! I cut the letters at around 3 inches.

I used red, black and white tulle and colored ribbon between each card of the banner to bring it all together!

I love banana bread but I don't make it very often because I have to wait for the bananas to totally ripen and then they wind up betting thrown away. This time, I put the bananas in the freezer until I was ready. It worked out perfectly, and I know this is going to sound silly but I had no idea that bananas thawed out so quickly. LOL. I pulled them out of the freezer and within about 10 minutes, they were completely soft. That surprised me.
Instead of using regular milk, I used Pure Almond vanilla flavored Silk. The recipe also called for 3 bananas but I only used 2. It turned out really good. :) Here's the recipe. I hope you all enjoy it!

Ingredients:

1 cup granulated sugar

Cream the sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Be sure to check your inbox, I will be contacting you shortly for your address! Congratulations and thank you so much for following my blog and participating in the blog hop!!! I love all of the comments that I get from everyone. :)

And now, on to today's antics...

Today was a pretty good day! I feel accomplished in the crafting area. I finally made my very first SVG in the Inkscape program. Go me!! It's not the best thing ever but it worked for the purpose that I needed it to. Aside from it taking me hours to figure out how to do it, I was able to make a workable file! I'm excited about that.

As I have mentioned several times in the past, my friend Jessica has twins who are almost a year old. She asked me if I would do a birthday banner for Grayson and Emma. She sent me a picture of what she was looking for and so I finally got started on it today! I am so excited about how it's coming along.

Isn't this adorable??? I absolutely love the little monkeys! So stinkin' cute!

I spent most of the afternoon playing with my ideas for this banner. I'll post more pictures when I have more done. Maybe a video of it? Hmmm. We will see.

Anyway, later, my husband left to go over to a friend's house so I made pasta for the kiddos. While I was cooking the Bowtie pasta, my son said "We should put cinnamon and sugar on those." I know he was just making a (hopeful) statement aloud and didn't expect me to go along with it but I shrugged and said, what the heck. Okay, let's do it.

Surprisingly enough, it was pretty good. He fessed up later that they had done this in school today but with rice. I put some butter in the bowl and then sprinkled the cinnamon and sugar over it and mixed it up. It was pretty delish!!!!

I didn't have any ground beef so I made ground turkey and mixed it with a cheese and garlic pasta sauce and then mixed the rest of the pasta with it. Made some mixed veggies and that became dinner. And just to tease my children, I put 5 of the cinnamon and sugar bowtie pasta noodles on their plate and told them they were not allowed to eat them until the rest of their dinner was gone! Haha.

After all this, my kids were happy to eat their dinner, as you can tell by their overly satisfied faces!!!
